Early in May, I was participating in my regular weekly prayer call with Alexander Temple Community Church. I got so caught up in worship during the prayer call that I could hardly contain myself!!! They asked me to lead prayer for the group, and I cut that corporate prayer short because God was calling me to personal worship. God’s anointing was THICK on the call, ya’ll!!!

And. It. Was. BEAUTIFUL!

Hear (read) this word:

  • God is releasing a smoky anointing!
  • It will be a THICK anointing of smoke.

What does this mean?

  • I personally liken it to praises rising before God, like incense. (Psalm 141:2)
  • The thick smoke of burning incense is the visual.
  • Incense (“smoke”) is representative of prayer, an offering to God because “We wanna smell good in [His] presence.” (using the language of KiKi Sheard).

These steps are for the young people (and YOU if you feel young):

  • ___ Spend time processing the meaning of Psalm 141:2. Meditate on it. Why is it beneficial for prayer to be likened to incense?
  • ___ Recreate this experience in your home, and pray while it’s… SMOKY!!! I’d suggest actual incense, fragrant steam, or an oil diffuser. As the smoke rises, let your praises rise! (On the OUTSIDE honey!!!)
  • ___ While you pray, use your hands to “stir” or “move” the smoke around so you can visualize God’s anointing moving in your life. [This could be likened to a wave offering. (In the OT, wave offerings were lifted before God to signify that the waved object belonged to God–a dedication. #MESSAGE!)]

NOW!

  • God says He is RELEASING the BURDENS the young have been carrying for FAAAAAAAAARRRR tooooo long!
  • God says the DEAD things in our lives are NOW Fruitful! (Somebody say, “NOW fruit!!!”)
  • Finally, God wants US, the young, and the young in Christ, to KNOW that we are walking on holy ground.

SO!

As you pray in your house, pray with your shoes OFF in your LIVING room. Pray that ALL dead things in and around your home (etc) be brought to LIFE in GOD!

(Remember the curse of the fruitless fig tree.)

Sometimes, your fruit comes later, but honeeeeeeeeeeeey!

God says, It’s STILL Coming!!!

ON! TIME!!!

Somebody say, “NOW fruit!!!”
